WASHINGTON SQUARE

Washington Square is located in the heart of Steamboat Rock. The old schoolhouse, now called the Community Center, sits proudly on the grounds. This piece of land holds many great memories of recess time when the building occupied grades K-12 for many years.

The old playground equipment was torn down and this area has now been given new life by the addition of new playground equipment, a beautiful shelter house, and soon-to-be new basketball court (summer of 2016). The Steamboat Rock Visionary Group has been working hard to make this area a great place for families to gather together and make new memories in Steamboat Rock.
